Reversal of Increase on PIL Nigeria Import Charges
Dear Esteemed Customer,
After our recent discussions with the Nigeria Shippers’ Council (NSC), we have decided to put on hold the local tariff increase that took effect in January 2026.
You would recall that we had implemented increases on Shipping Agency Fee and Nigerian Ports Surcharge Destination for all import shipments arriving from 1 January 2026.
The suspension of the local tariff increase will be effective from 1 April 2026 i.e we will revert to the previous tariff rates before the increase. Accordingly, all vessels arriving on or after 1 April 2026 will attract the reverted local tariff rates.
We would also like to let you know that further consultations are on-going with the NSC and we will keep you informed of any developments.
